I had a super-fun time at Barnes and Noble yesterday, talking about The Loudness with a bunch of kids from Woodland Hills Academy. We also talked about favorite books and authors, and — incredibly — the two crowd favorites were William Shakespeare and Hatchet by Gary Paulsen! This, friends, is why I write books for middle graders. Big ups to their English teachers!
